The challenge of climate change

South Africa has been an important exporter of agricultural and forestry products to Europe for many years. The production conditions in South Africa are far from ideal, as 91% of area are classified as arid to semi-arid. According to the current climate scenarios, southern Africa will be particularly affected by decreasing precipitation and increased dry periods in the future. FarmImpact wants to develop climate smart solutions for local farming systems.
